Literacy

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our new HOME LEARNING activities for this week.

This week our new sound / letter is e

Please 'click' on the links for:

* Mr Thorne - episode e

* Let's get Squiggling - e

* Letter e songs. & stories

Letter e is a FAT letter that sits on the line.  It is a LONG, LOW sound when you say it.

Letter 'e' starts at the side, slide to the side (don't lift your pencil), go back up a little and round back to where you started, then swing to the end.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Use your whiteboard to practise writing the letter e on your whiteboard - don't forget to start at the side!!!

Use your finger to write the letter e on your mummy's back.

Use your finger to write the letter e in the air.

Look for things that have the e sound around your house - can you make a set of 'e' things?

WRITTEN ACTIVITIES in TSD BOOK

MONDAY --> Say the e sound.  Say each word.  Match the pictures that begin with the e sound to the big e.

WEDNESDAY --> Use an old magazine / catalogue or print 'e' things.  Write 'e' beside each thing you find.

Can you make these words that have our new letter with your letter cards??

After you have made the words with your letter cards, can you write them on your whiteboards??  I'll bet you can!!
