Term 2B - Week 6
This week we will be:
* learning all about the LETTER 'u'
* sounding across, identifying sounds, making CVC words
with our letter cards and then writing them
* learning HF (High Frequency) words - these are words we
will see frequently in our reading and will need to use these
words in our writing
* Learning more about - Number 10
* Use a 10 Frame
* Combine sets (up to 10) to find TOTAL (practically)
* Using 'addition pit' to add 2 numbers to find the TOTAL
* Record simple addition sum - 'Sum Strip'
* Continue to understand 1 - 1 correspondence by matching
* Continuing to understand conservation of numbers 1 - 10
* Adding 1 More to a set and begin to understand the
answer is always the NEXT number in the number line.
* Know that 0 has a value of 'nothing'
* Make a class PICTOGRAM of OUR FAVOURITE PETS
* Use 1p coins to buy and sell during play
