Term 2B - Week 2
PLEASE BRING IN A TEDDY BEAR AND YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK ON MONDAY - these MUST be LEFT IN SCHOOL on Monday night so be sure to ONLY SEND IN A TEDDY / BOOK YOUR CHILD WILL NOT NEED TO GET TO SLEEP.
This week we will be:
* learning all about the LETTER 'h'
* sounding across, identifying sounds, making CVC words with our letter cards and
then writing them
* learning HF (High Frequency) words - these are words we will see frequently in our
reading and will need to use these words in our writing
* Learning our next number - Number 9
* Partition sets into SUB-SETS up to 10,
* Combine sets (up to 9) to find TOTAL (practically)
* Continue to understand 1 - 1 correspondence by matching
* Continuing to understand conservation of numbers 1 - 9
* Adding 1 More to a set and begin to understand the answer is always
the NEXT number in the number line.
* Know that 0 has a value of 'nothing'
* Use 1p coins to buy and sell during play.
