Mr Kelly's Star of the Week in Primary 4
Our star awards thid week went to Freyia O'Rourke-Doherty for completing excellent work on volume and capacity and reading scales very accurately.
our second star of the week went to Ella Trainor for her fantastic work on our Winter Comprehension activity. Using full sentences in all her answers.
Santa Run
Today we took part in our Sponsored Santa Run. We completed the Daily Mile in our Christmas jumpers and hats.
Star of the Week
Well done to our Stars of the Weeks! Aoife received her award from Mr Kelly for the great effort she put into her Eco Warrior Power point and fantastic presenting skills.
Cora received her Star of the Week for working extremely hard in numeracy, carrying out brilliant work on inverse operations.
Primary 4 Eco Representatives
Well done to Aoife and James who were voted for ou P4 Eco warriors by the rest of their class mates. We know they will do a fantastic job!
Eco Warriors
This week, some of the boys and girls in our class produced posters, powerpoints and sppeches to present to the class as to why they felt they would make a good eco represenative for our school. Each of the boys and girls put in so much effort to their presentation and all did a fantastic job! The class then voted on who they felt would bes represent their class and from this two chidlrne were picked. This was James and Aoife. A massive well done t our two new representatives, as well as all the oher chidren who took part - Ella-Rose, Ella-May, Cora and Cara.
We were blown away by their fantastic presenting skills and the work they had put in to designing and making a range of materials. We are all true eco warriors in our class!
Star of the Week
This week, our star of the week award went to two people in our class who have showed kindness. Sophie-Rose and Mark received their awards from Mr Kelly for their kind gestures throughout the week, both in class and outside. Well done to them both!
How We Show Kindness
As we are carrying out lots of activites for anti-bullying week, we took part in some role play. Within out role play we acted out scenes of how we can show kindness. The boys and gils were fantatsic at coming up with ways we can show kindness both inside and outside school.
Odd Socks Day
Today we celebrated Odd Sock Day to kick off the beginning of Anti-bullying week. This year, the theme for anti-bullying week is ‘One Kind Word’. This week we will be carrying out lots of activities on kindness and anti-bullying which we are really looking forward to. We are making a pledge to be extra kind in our class this week!
Star of the Week Award
Our first Star up this week is Cara Daly. Cara received the Star Aware from Mr Kelly for the great effort she has been putting into both her Literacy and Numeracy work. Our second star of the week is George Rick, for his great ideas for our acrostic poem on festivals. Well done to both children for their fantastic work.
Wooly Hat Day
Today we wore our Wooly Hats to school, to take part in Wooly Hat Day in aid of Mourne Stimulus. This is something we do each year and is a day we love to celebrate. Check out all our different hats!
