Primary 5's 'Awful' Egyptian Assembly

We had lots of fun after our assembly doing some Egyptian tasks. We had a toilet roll mummy competition and we explored some photos of Takabuti, the resident mummy in the Ulster Museum.

We had lots of fun making Pacnakes for Shrove Tuesday, just on a Monday instead!

A huge well done to put superstars Aoife, Amy and Maeve. Aoife was awarded a distinction in musical theatre Grade 1, Amy a distinction in Piano Grade 1 and Maeve got Star of the Week in her Speech and Drama.

We had a visit from Marvin from the Fire Service. He taught us how to be safe in our homes and classroom. Check out some of the class getting to try on a selection of fire saving equipment.

We mummified egg yolks using salt to preserve them. Let’s hope our classroom isn’t too smelly in the near future.

P5 took a trip back in time to an ancient Egyptian tomb...
