WHAT IS LENT?

Lent is the time we spend getting ready for Easter. Easter is a special feast in our Church calendar and this is why we are asked to make a special effort to prepare for it. 

Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. Lent – the 40 days leading up to Easter.
