Hi Everyone,

 

Welcome to our new HOME LEARNING activities for this week.

This week our new sound / letter is g

Letter g is a TAILS letter that sits on the line but has a hanging tail that goes below the line

It is a SHORT, QUIET sound when you say it.

Letter 'g' starts at the top, round and back to where you started (just like letter 'a'), don't lift your pencil, then down and add a swing at the bottowm.

 

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Use your whiteboard to practise writing the letter g on your whiteboard - don't forget to start at the side!!!

 

Use your finger to write the letter g on your mummy's back.

 

Use your finger to write the letter g in the air.

 

Look for things that have the g sound around your house - can you make a set of 'g' things?

 

If possible, make g with playdoh, long laces, string, counters - whatever you have!!!

WRITTEN ACTIVITIES in TSD BOOK

 

MONDAY --> Say the g sound.  Say each word.  Match the pictures that begin with the g sound to the big g.

 

WEDNESDAY --> Say each word.  Colour the pictures beginning with  'k' and 'g' Colour the pictures and write the correct letter beside each one..

 

 

Can you make these words that have our new letter with your letter cards??

After you have made the words with your letter cards, can you write them on your whiteboards??  I'll bet you can!!
