Place Value : We are looking at the digits which make up a number and work out if they stand for a group of units or tense.g. 8tens and 2units, In number 65 there are 6 lots of ten and 5 units. Be careful there are some tricky numbers to watch out for .… thirteen , thirty, fourteen, forty, fifteen and fifty five.
Tuesday
Digit Shuffle: Write the last three digits of a phone number.
The three digits must be different.
Write all different 2 digit numbers you can make with the digits.
Use a pattern to record the numbers.
Example : 6 8 2 - 26 28 62 68 82 86
Thursday
Weight : Find food items with different weights. Ask your child to compare two items and guess which is heavier or lighter. Keep a look out for three objects which are heavier than your pencil case and three things lighter.
Friday
Choose five objects from around your home and order them from heaviest to lightest.
