Intensive Interaction Training - 27th October 2022
The staff of St.Columban's Special Ed Department along with our all of our teaching assistants in the school had the wonderful opportunity of developing their knowledge tonight in relation to communication. We were also joined by the staff in Rathore via zoom.
Tonight we had the opportunity to learn about Intensive Interaction which was presented by the wonderful Lynnette Minzies.
Lynnette presented an engaging training which give all of us food for thought and strategies that we can implemented into the classroom environment to give our pupils the opportunity to communicate.
Intensive Interaction is a social communication approach developed in the 1980s. It is an approach to help people with social communication difficulties, whatever their age, engage through and learn the 'Fundamentals of Communication'.
